When I woke up this morning, I was definitely feeling a little “sluggish” from my larger than normal meal last night. It sure tasted great, but I haven’t had a meal like that in a while, and unfortunately I’m still feeling its effects today! Ughh. So when it came time to decide what was for breakfast, I knew I wanted something light and refreshing!
Inspired by Julie’s combo, I created my own Strawberry Banana Smoothie!
(Oops! Would have been a pretty photo if I had thought to wipe up the water that missed the plant right after Jay watered it! Ok, just ignore that, and admire the fancy smoothie!)
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
- 1 small frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 scoop Strawberry Whey protein powder
- light vanilla soy milk (I didn’t measure today, but maybe about 1/2 cup?)
Mix all together in a blender. Top with a fancy strawberry & matching straw!
This was DELISH and definitely what I was craving this morning! :-D I also have some iced coffee which I’m taking with me to work.
